Always Practice Safe Hex (Stay A Spell, #4)

4/5

Finally .. the Stay a Spell series gives us a glimpse into the world of the Grims.

Livvy is the corporate Savoie sister, as we’ve learned through her appearances in the first three books of the series. She’s ideally depicted as a perfectionist and control-freak, which pairs perfectly with Gareth, who knows he’s the smartest, fastest, and sexiest Grim in town. And when they’re forced to work together to win a marketing competition (that gives back to the supernatural community)- it’s just a matter of time before they give into Gareth’s monstrous and delectable darkness.

As always, Cross stays true to the S & M, dominance and submission trope by setting it up responsibly and bringing both the recipient and the reader down with true care.

Truly, I’m fascinated by the Grims, mainly because it’s the first time in my reading adventures that I’ve seen them depicted as part of the supernatural community. The foresight of Cross to write what we know about what we don’t know is inspiring. And I can’t wait to find out more.

Hi! I’m Adrienne. I really love reading books – it doesn’t matter if it’s a classic novel on a rainy day or the latest bestseller while lying in the sun. I also really enjoy sharing my thoughts about books with others. This is why I write book reviews, to help fellow book lovers find their next great read.
