Evie and Mateo are the perfect antidote to a book hangover.
Supes, slow-burn, open door. Not to mention a great setting (New Orleans) and a fun family (the Savoie sisters). It’s well-written, richly detailed and boasts a plot that equals the spice. The characters are relatable yet written in a way that you want to know even more about them, maybe even have an espresso with them in one of the quaint little cafes on Magazine Street.
Despite being the first of a series, it can definitely stand alone; but trust me – I can’t believe I just stumbled upon this series and will be devouring the rest directly!

Hi! I’m Adrienne. I really love reading books – it doesn’t matter if it’s a classic novel on a rainy day or the latest bestseller while lying in the sun. I also really enjoy sharing my thoughts about books with others. This is why I write book reviews, to help fellow book lovers find their next great read.
