Arca (The Five Queendoms, #2)

5/5

Everything I loved about Scorpica has been multiplied indefinitely in the second part of G.R. Macallister’s Five Queendoms series.

The scenery is detailed and vibrant, from the sands to the Godsbones. The characters have depth, both in story and in emotions. The story twists and turns, wrapping your heart and your mind up to the point where you might hold your breath during a final scene.

There’s heartbreak and hope, fear and wonder, and the feeling that you’re not entirely sure what alignment the characters may have.

It’s a dense and long read, and worth every bit of lost sleep. Here’s hoping the announcement of the third book comes soon!

Hi! I’m Adrienne. I really love reading books – it doesn’t matter if it’s a classic novel on a rainy day or the latest bestseller while lying in the sun. I also really enjoy sharing my thoughts about books with others. This is why I write book reviews, to help fellow book lovers find their next great read.
