Malibu Rising

5/5

Another solid effort by TJR.

I picked this one up after a difficult and long read, and frankly, it hit the spot. A story that takes place over 24 hours, a fun cast of siblings, the beach, and some betrayals. Not to mention cameos by several characters in other TJR stories (CARRIE SOTO!).

There are pieces of this story that seem unnecessary, such as some of the supporting characters, some of the extra descriptions of various betrayals, even some of the pivotal party; but all in all – the perfect weekend read.

The descriptions are vivid. The characters are written in a familiar and relatable way. And honestly, you just want to be a part of the story.

Hi! I’m Adrienne. I really love reading books – it doesn’t matter if it’s a classic novel on a rainy day or the latest bestseller while lying in the sun. I also really enjoy sharing my thoughts about books with others. This is why I write book reviews, to help fellow book lovers find their next great read.
