Midnight Ruin (Dark Olympus, #6)

3/5

Did I make sure my TBR list was ready when Book #6 in Katee Robert’s Dark Olympus series dropped? Absolutely. Did I read it within 24 hours? Also yes.

In this edition, Demeter’s youngest daughter steps into her power, and cements her place on the other side of the River Styx. The barrier around Olympus continues to fail, and Eurydice plays a key role in finding out who holds the key information. Not to mention, exploring her intense attraction to her bodyguard and friend, while also getting closure with her infamous ex. Which, of course, Robert uses to push the envelope of her no-holds-barred style.

I struggled with my rating on this one, though, because while I love the series and the key players, this take on spice isn’t 100% my favorite. That’s not on the writing or the characters, though. Sometimes you just have to read something to figure out if it’s for you. As always, with this type of book, please pay attention to content and trope warnings.
