Scorpica (The Five Queendoms #1)

I snagged this one after the algorithm recommended it .. and wow, am I glad it did.

Detailed and intense, this is a fantastic first chapter in the Five Queendoms series. The world-building and parallel character journeys immediately entrance you, and despite some of the tedious chapters, you’re left hanging on the edge of your set, waiting for the next installment.

The twists and turns are occasionally dramatic and unexpected, and the pace moves both fast and slow as one would hope from the opening scene of a series.
