Synced (Gilded Blood, #4)

4/5

It’s more than a little heartbreaking when you’re on the leading edge of knowing a beloved series is ending. There’s worry about your favorite characters, worry that it won’t be as good as book #xx, and just a general sadness that this chapter is closing (see what I did there)?

Rachel Rener does an excellent job of wrapping up a complex world and cast of characters with grace. Not to mention she’s gutsy enough to wrangle a whole new breed (or two) within this final story and also tackles the veil between realms.

There’s action. There’s camaraderie. There’s jaw-dropping reveals. And of course, heat. Like for-real “Did she just write that, let me re-read that” heat.

I don’t want to give any spoilers, just know that Rener does a graceful job of wrapping up a complex story, without it feeling like she cut corners. Bravo, and I’m excited for her next endeavor.

Hi! I’m Adrienne. I really love reading books – it doesn’t matter if it’s a classic novel on a rainy day or the latest bestseller while lying in the sun. I also really enjoy sharing my thoughts about books with others. This is why I write book reviews, to help fellow book lovers find their next great read.
